    Chukar, Chukar, CHUKAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never ate one myself but from what people have said its sounds like not quite that good. More of a five pound small mouth flavor type of thing.

    Chukar, Chukar, CHUKAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never seen one in CO well living there but that was a while back. Did see one at fairly long range once in north east NV but didn't know what I was seeing till later. Thought is was a wonky sage grouse way up high. They would definitely be the ultimate upland bird.

    Boat at whispering Bay

Cops were down looking at it a few weeks ago when I went by so odds are they know what's going on. The whole thing is just a little weird.

    Boat at whispering Bay

So does anyone know the story of the cabin cruiser that has been beached in the bay since mid this summer? I first saw it as it say at the fox island ramp for a few weeks this spring before moving around the corner into the bay. Seems odd that clearly was a decent boat is now just being pushed...

    Salamanders for Catfish

To bad your out east because like said before on foggy/damp mornings I see hundreds of them and could easily limit out in short order but have never had much use for them my myself. Because of that I would have little qualms about giving them away. With that said it occurs to me I haven't seen...

    SO who is getting ready??

Maybe he was the guy I saw this weekend who was bitching about having not seen a single bird! I started laughing and he couldn't figure out why. So I point out a haybale he walked within a few feet of the had three sitting on top of it and they never moved when he went by!

    SO who is getting ready??

I'm still waiting from Captain thesaurus about how the term I used "anecdotal" is used wrong in combination with the topic at hand i n this sentence? I mean sure it has more than two syllables I'm sure that might confuse him a bit but I'm still waiting for the real answer!

    OPEC wins

Saying they beat our oil is like saying the ship is no longer sinking because you put your gum over the hole! They dont seem to get that it is us that holds the cards an such can hold off for how ever long and then just start up again when the price component gets to where we need it. In the...

    Bow Hunting 101 (For Beginners)

Try to practice as long of range as you can. If you can get to the point that you can make consistent groups at 60 yards you will find that suddenly the 20 and 30 yard shots will feel like chip shots.

    dove opener!

Doves bluewinged teal and woodducks are the pansies of the bird world! What you are seeing for doves is the standard drop in numbers. We had less then half on opening day and with the last two big fronts we are getting down to the nitty gritty. Most years the few that remain will group up one...

    Bow Hunting 101 (For Beginners)

Didn't read all the post so this may have been said before. But the first thing you should do is go into a good bow shop and get all your measurements. Tell them what you are want to go after and what they would suggest. Make sure when you do this they know your in the looking and learning faze...

    Freezing frogs for bait

I wonder if a guy could go to a slough around this time of year and net up a bucket load of shrimp and freeze them down in water in small containers for is fishing later on. Hell I know if I was in another state I might be inclined to start dropping good amounts down the hole to keep the school...

    Freezing frogs for bait

Have you tried the dried out fresh water shrimp? I just put mine in warm water for a minute then dump them in and game on. I just wonder if the shrimp wouldn't make for a decent bait for perch at times.

    Freezing frogs for bait

Yep 24 frogs 24 salamanders 48 crayfish 150 fathead minnows. Once they are dead I'm sure it all goes out the window. But we'll gathering them is where a guy could get pinched by a wadern if he was a jerk.
