Who's going qucak quack hunting...I mean ducking hunting this weekend

Here is my realty in the form of a unique setting for a gorgeous ND sunrise! I find like yesterday it hard to feel upset about our collective lot in life when I find myself 300 yards at the closest from dry ground with thousands of acres of ducks marsh shared by two groups. So stop bitching and...

Who's going qucak quack hunting...I mean ducking hunting this weekend

Seriously how old are you? This is not a question for insulting you it's just a question for me as i try to figure out what world you're coming from for your perspective! Because if you are trying to place 2005 up against 2015 to show the difference in hunting pressure I'm scratching my head...

Who's going qucak quack hunting...I mean ducking hunting this weekend

Duck hunt numbers were way down today and saw a fair number of high flying mallards and pintails that looked to be heading south and i'm guessing that's where most of the ducks we were hunting disappeared to aswell. Did also see one small flock of specks that were the first Arctic geese I've...

    Ice Fishing the Red River

The word's of safe areas and river ice NEVER will be found in the same sentence! You have to be on guard constantly because you may be on 20 inches of ice in one spot and go five feet over to find only three! Be vary vary careful out on that stuff.

well if you don't want brown only one puddle duck looks good right now and they are the prettiest. To bad you can only shoot three so had to scratch out a few odd balls and a couple mallards that gave us the slip. We were on the water and set up well the moon was vary high and did not see or...

Who's going qucak quack hunting...I mean ducking hunting this weekend

Going after wood ducks in the morning so that will be interesting in the wind. Buddy wanted to find a crap duck slough for Sunday but ironically all we could find were big groups of mallards. Overall mallard and wood duck numbers are high but the rest are pretty low. Looks like most of the teal...

Fargo Diversion and the ND Game and Fish

There's no way to even come close to putting that much water into the ground at that rate. That would the world's biggest frac job. Probably blow sinks off there base in people who have well water.:::

Mountain Lion hit in NE ND

Because lions are like bighorn sheep and prefer ground with steep breaks. The cats just don't like flat ground to much and the Lawton area if quite flat. - - - Updated - - - With as many cats that have come through town I never ruel out anybody's story until they prove to be stupid. What are...

    what tracks are these?

Off hand chance it could be the back foot of a lion but the set up seems far more dog. Odd though no claw marks..... but with no clear out line of the back side of the back pad nearly impossible to give a 100% definitive answer.

Fargo Diversion and the ND Game and Fish

In what flood without the diversion did the river habitat not flood? That's sort of a no brainer that the trees and habitat along the rivers are going to flood one way or the other diversion or no diversion that's how floods work!

Mountain Lion hit in NE ND

If the driver wants it its theirs in most cases such as the bear by Dickinson. But with the Warden having to shoot it may play into it in this situation.

Water from the Great Lakes or Pacific NW

So is Bakken oil....but eventually cheap water will go the way of cheap oil and desalination will become economically viable compared to traditional sources.

Water from the Great Lakes or Pacific NW

Not sure that may be two separate things. I know they want to pipe water from the river at bismarck over to Fargo so they don't get screwed in a red river vally drought. They are currently spending millions fixing up the canal but not sure if that will lead to opening it up past hoffer lake. Do...

Water from the Great Lakes or Pacific NW

Yeah desalinization plants are common in the Middle East and I believe San Diego has a really big one they don't even use. No need to pump it out of the great lakes when the Mississippi river would be and easier option but there are massive rules to get by when moving water from one water shed...

    Bismarck Ramps Status

Not sure why they are making a big deal out of the river drop. Didn't drop it quite this far last year but the year before was a twin to now. She dropped to around 2 3/4 feet on the gauge but even at its lowest fox and most the other ramps were fine. Rice is an oahe ramp so baring the lake...
