    Obama finally rejects keystone XL

Never understood why you would pump the best crude on earth with the worst.

    Obama finally rejects keystone XL

If the keystone people had a clue they should have just built the whole thing save the one foot that Obama's has a say over and built a railroad line in the shape of a loop. Then just offload the line onto the train take it over the line then off load and back into the pipe. Needless to say not...

Bass Pro Shops Consider Purchase of Cabela's

For fishing gear it might be a good thing but we have plenty of options for that around here. For hunting gear it will suck because BP has always had a halfass hunting department compared to cabelas.

    3F2

To all the new hunters in 3F2 just a reminder to keep you out of trouble. Saw a number of groups last year end up having a bad day so figured I would post up a reminder. When in Sioux county you have to keep vary close eye on where you are hunting or else you may run into trouble with the...

Time to fire up the snowblowers?

Most all of it fell up in Sask so the boys up north should be seeing a bunch of birds roll down today. Looks like a new band will form tomorrow just east of bismarck up towards DL but this doesn't look to drop all that much.

    Creepy Halloween Treats

Could be a bad thing but for some reason I'm picturing some little old lady not noticing the difference between the pills and the candy well filling the bags. Not allot of drugs out there that anyone would just hand out for kicks....especially if they don't get to see the kid take them.

    Migration

Yeah I've also seen the first good mallard feeds since opening weekend. Also found a couple massive crane flocks that number well into the thousands this morning. Snow goose numbers seem to be holding steady for now but if the snow storm happens the way they forecast it to we will see a HUGE...

    Migration

Really? They nest here and I'm only a 100 north of you so would have thought they would there as well. Only problem is they migrant far more east then they do south just like the swans. I know they are showing up on pool 9 over on the Mississippi so they are definitely on the move. Up here if...

    Migration

Hunted the point on the left of the first pic this morning with a buddy. It was nice to have just a good old hodgepodge hunt. We more or less took turns and were trying to pick out birds with good color. In all of the 12 ducks we got six different species and could've had seven if he could have...

    Migration

Birds are rolling in pretty hard now. Lots of good water spots like this filled with Bluebills and Gadwalls and a good mix of other ducks. Geese are coming down in good numbers. Saw numerous snow goose flocks of 2 to 5000 with good numbers of Canada's and cranes and even a fair few specs.

    Oddball question

Ha-ha reading your post made me laugh. Tell me it wouldn't be fun to round up a bunch of us and head down the whatever body of water is attracting the most of them in and then all of us set up shop within a few feet of them no matter how they are doing. Think it would be entertaining as hell to...

    Oddball question

Yes I'm talking about now. I have poured over the stocking list over and over again doing the math and watching the drainages during spring runoff so as to know where the perch may have spread too to try and deduce what will be the next hot lake before everyone else knows it's the hot lake! Thus...

    Dissapointed

Now add in that much of the gas in Bismarck comes from the Mandan refinery and that they refine Bakken crude. Bakken crude sells at a discount of nearly $15 bbl and is some of the highest grade crude in the world so takes less to refine. So add all that up and the near zero shipping cost to get...

    Oddball question

Having grown up in the 80's I vividly remember the last perch boom of the mid 90's. I've watched spots go from being a soft spot in a field you didn't want to drive through for fear of getting suck to fishing that same spot a couple years later for jumbo perch. Nowadays those spots are no longer...
