Good winter tire for 2500 Duramax

The OP asked for a winter tire, mostly highway and in town. Why would you chose an all terrain tire? Yes, that is the best option for all seasons, but this will be for a winter only tire that will be changed out in the spring. Get a good snow tire and don't look back.

Good winter tire for 2500 Duramax

2 Sets of rims/tires. One for snow and ice, one for all other seasons. With how stupid people drive in Fargo in the winter, A designated snow/ice tire is cheap protection from people that run "all season tires", when meeting at an intersection.

Good winter tire for 2500 Duramax

I run the Dynapro ATMs on my F-250 Spring, Summer, and Fall. Best All Terrain I have had or sold in my opinion. I have sold many brands of tires (I operate a very busy auto repair shop in Fargo) and tried a lot of all terrains on my own vehicles, but if you are switching to a winter tire and rim...

Good winter tire for 2500 Duramax

I run Nokian hakkapeliitta lt2 snow tires on my F-250. You can not beat a "snow tire". I also have a set of Hankook I-pikes RW11 on my wife's wrangler. We normally get 5 seasons on our snow tires (if kept inside out of the sun during the off season). Nokian are the original creator of "snow...

Portable Ice Houses: Flip Over vs. Pop-up

I have both, and have only used the pop up once. The flip over Otter is my go to. When fishing by myself, it is faster to set up and holds everything I need in the sled. When I did used the pop up, I hauled it out with my otter Sled.......

Wet opener---who is taking the rain on?

To the OP, I'm headed out, crappy weather or not. Jumping sloughs just because I can. I only have a few hours in the evening to get out.

Wet opener---who is taking the rain on?

Hunting ducks was slough jumping or over floating decoys growing up. Big spreads in the fields were unheard of then. Funny how there were always ducks around until ice up back then. Now, You can get your tail kicked for talking about jumping a slough or "roost busting"......what a bunch of B.S...

    Eye Dominance

So the big question now is Hoyt Ignite or Mission Crave? Scheels has both in stock at the same price point that I would like to stay under. Both will grow with her. Any recommendations? or will this be a Marcum/Vex argument all over?

    Eye Dominance

I will let her shoot a few left handed bows to see how it feels to her. I think this may be the best route for her. I really appreciate the suggestions as they confirm what I was thinking. I am slightly right eye dominant over my left and ambidextrous as I shoot as well right handed as I do left...

    Eye Dominance

My 10 year old daughter is just getting into archery. I picked up a good deal on a Bear Apprentice bow that fits her well. I took her out to the range and as she pulled back the bow, I watched her head tilt to use her left eye to look through the peep sight on a right handed bow. I failed to...

    Atv tracks

I have a Prairie 650 and had tracks. For the amount of abuse it had on the machine, I sold the tracks and bought a 02 Indy classic 2 Up a few years ago. For me, tracks were not the answer to a lot of snow.

    New to ND...

Welcome! I was feeling like I was the only flyfisherman in ND! If you get to the eastern side of the state, I can steer you into some great trout waters in blue plate land. Pike and bass are mostly the targets on the eastern side.

    Flashers vs graphs

I have and use both. The graph is a bird 386ci (I think) and is mounted to my atv or sled depending on snow conditions. I use it for the GPS and maps when moving and trying to locate fish. When I get on fish and put up the portable, I use a flx28. The vex plays well with other flashers or...

    baitcasters

Shimano Tekotas are my go to bait caster. Diawa Sealine line counters on trolling rods. I do have a few Abu Garcia Silvermax and Blackmax reels for loaner rods for people I take out fishing (ie kids, wife, friends, etc). I also like the Quantum Energy PT on my Winnipeg ice rod that I have fallen...
