With winter around the corner, any thoughts as to the severity? I have heard it is suppose to be a COLD one with average snow fall.

It is going to be a mild winter again, much like the last 3.

ya. i also heard it will be cold. it will also snow. and the wind will likely blow. then around march or april sometime, it will all melt. and the days will be longer. next summer will be warmer than this coming winter.

I've heard there will be ice on various bodies of water and I will partaking in ice angling excursions fairly frequently.
Wife says I will drive her crazy if I stay at home too much:D

I don't really care to much on how the weather is as long as there is not 10 feet of snow everywhere. I would really like to see most of the deer survive the winter. I would like to get a tag sometime in the next 5 years.

No matter what, by February winter will be dragging on and NDA will be awash with whining, crying, and bored banter with plenty of squabbling about nothing by just about everyone and April will not be able to come quick enough. Just like every winter.

For the record, we've only had one NDA winter. Just sayin'

As much as I want a shitload of snow this winter, it would set wildlife populations back dramatically. Remember before we had 3 straight mild winters we had 3 or 4 straight harsh winters. The difference now is considerably less wildlife habitat. Even with mild winters it's proving difficult to maintain sufficiently diverse huntable populations.

Haha nothing says winter needs to end like a good Devils Lake slot limit thread or Devils Lake access thread....
