Thought it looked kind of like a tundra at first glance. Any mpg estimates yet? Will be nice to hear what the new and improved 6.2 entails.

To tell the truth, I've never wanted a Ford bad enough to even look at the body style. Don't really compare the looks of any vehicle to a Ford as I don't ever intend on needing a problem that bad. Not saying they are bad, but I've owned GM's, both for me and for my wife, for most of my life. Never had a problem that suggested I should switch to something else. Unlike the problems with 2 vehicles that weren't GM.

GM released more information on the 2019 Silverado 1500 at the recent Detroit auto show but not all the specs. Updated 5.3 and 6.2 V8 and supposedly some other new gas engines they haven't released specs on either. They also announced a 3.0L inline 6 cyl diesel which from what I have gathered is a new clean-sheet design and will be built in the US. Ford's new 3.0L V6 PowerStroke is based off a Land Rover engine and Ram's 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel is from VM Motori (an Italian subsidiary of Fiat-Chrysler). Ford is claiming 30 MPG and GM is claiming they can beat that. Should be interesting to see how they do. Of course with the diesel engine option being a prieumium over the gas and diesel fuel being more expensive (along with maintenance) the cost per mile may not be any better then the gasser.

Ram also introduced there new 1500 at the show. Supposed to available next quarter (GM says 4th quarter for new Silverado/Sierra). They have introduced a mild hybrid system for their V6 and V8. It'a an electric motor that assists the engine with low end torque.

The 1 light thing is probably better than the 0 light thing from the Ford.
Why can't they get on board safety wise and put daytime driving lights on? Unless they finally have.

Zog,no spec's out yet but I suspect the 1500 crew /double cab box will have the same 26gal tank, however I read they'll have a long box option in 2019 which would lead to a 36gal tank just like the HD's.

I am not anti-chevy by a long shot but is anyone else fed up with those stupid chevy truck commercials? They are on ALL the time and that main guy is such a doof.
