One of these afternoons I'm gonna have to go to the SRST GF and pick up my ANY DEER tag over the counter, for $5. Oh and that includes all of Corson Co. SD.

If I wouldn't have gotten a tag, your wrestlers would be getting the slowest two counts all year.

Could a guy that doesn't hunt for deer, still apply for a tag? Then get it and sell/give it to the highest bidder? I have never hunted for deer, nor even own a rifle so its all Arabic to me.

if we have a mild winter again you will see the tags increase by 10-20k. In the areas I frequent there really appears to be a lot more deer than the previous few. As indicated by my own anecdotal eveidence and the increasing number of deer laying on the road from deer-car collisions. can't give you number guys any substance but did notice a lot of does with twins and even one with triplets.( had to double-take) Then the GNF will play the "see, look how well we managed the herd" card. when in reality they haven't an f-ing clue exactly how many are out there.
that's my crystal ball prediction

it's the new norm. wait until bow tags go up 30K this year lol. I'm buying one and will be going for the first time. Now I have to go buy a bow. Maybe I should look at the gun lottery first.

Tribal land in Corson County but not the deeded land! I thought the tribe was not selling deer tags over the counter anymore and they were hard to get?

Yeah but most of the good deer ground in both county's is tribal. They are still over the counter but are now $500 and went on sale at midnight on a Friday night and were sold out before bar close!

Still over the counter for members, residents, and spouses. I'll bet more state tags are filled on Rez land than deeded, at least that how I've seen it play out mostly.
