Abu garcia revo rod & reel combo

Any reviews on Revo rod and reel combos? Scheels has a combo on sale. Appears to be a bargain. I have had many ABU reels and all have performed well and are durable. Yet do not know anything about ABU Veritas rods. Any comments are appreciated.

I think if it's a good deal, you should grab a combo and fish the shit out of it all season. Then give us a review.

The rod retails for $99 and that Revo S retails for $129, so if purchased separately it's a $228 retail price point.
It looks like it would be a pretty nice set up and has good rating. How much is the combo priced at Scheels?

I should add, that star rating is based on 5 Star being the best.

I use Revo baitcasting reels on Abu Garcia Venerate baitcasting rods for bottom bouncing. I am very happy with the reel and really love the rod. I do have 2 Revo spinning reel and have had problems with one of them. I don't know that I would buy another Revo spinning reel.

I am very happy with the couple Revo baitcasters that I have. I had a Veritas rod for a while until my brother broke the tip off. Worked fine to that point. I casted and trolled with it. If the price is right, go for it.

Looking for something like this also. Do the rods come in a medium? All I can find on Scheels web site is a medium heavy.

Not much of a bait casting guy but I have one and like it. Use it fishing the river even, casts just fine even with live bait.
