Well the cable that came off was 3/16 and only 45 ft. So the new rope is 1/4 and 50 feet. I just did a youtube look and it showed guys cutting off 10 feet so it would wind and fit better. However I just called a polaris dealer and talked to service guy. He said the 50 should fit fine as long as it is wound up inline and with tension. So...I'll just do it that way. Thanks for thoughts!
Yeah just make sure it's wound up with tension so your first pull doesn't sinch it tighter then a .......you know what ;)

Sorry - It is a pully system basically. I should have said snatch RING. When you use a synthetic rope you can use smooth metal rings instead of a true pulley.
Dad showed me and my buddy the way of a snatch block when used on a winch for dragging old tractors onto a trailer. It is amazing what difference 1 pulley can make on a dead drag

Blocks actually. “Pulleys”are actually sheaves which are located within the block itself.

yes, mechanical advantage is your friend. Use it.

Someone really “smart” once said, Give me a big enough lever and I’ll move the world. Paraphrasing that of course. Not to mention he was referring to a fulcrum, nevertheless it’s still a mechanical advantage
