When people say things like this I always chuckle since I bet you could swap out foaming balls (incert any one of many millions of one-liners at this point) with plastic fish or spinning blade or rubber worms that some old timer scoffed at when they first came out. Why would I need some electrical gadgets to tell me where the bottom is if my bait finds it anyways!

I'm kinda being guffawed like a tool here and will still maintain a suspended pickle jar full of live minnows would attract interest. Almost makes me want to ice fish.
