Ha ha, the city of Minot will probably raise property taxes next year to take all of mine.

Actually I had some calls some r starting already. Keep in mind though if u owed April 18 and you didn't change your withholding allowances you will most likely owe April 19. You rec'd the difference in your paycheck. I don't how many people expect both a reduction of withholding and to get back a larger refund. It would be nice but the theory behind it is to put money in your pocket now so we don't face the upcoming recession

My question is if you are this year, are you going to owe more next year? If you get a refund this year are you going to get a smaller refund next year? More money now, but we will pay for it later. In other words are they using the new law to make us think we are getting a bigger tax-cut than we actually are?

Yes the way I understand is the tax breaks come first, then eventually after a number of years you'll pay more than when it started. Unless of course they pass a new bill.

Starting to get real folks! Looks like my net checks will be an addtl $108 a month. I can buy a lot of Pelosi's bread crumbs with that. Not sure how they are going to spin this into a negative if the majority of taxpayers start realizing more take home pay..starting now.;:;banghead
