Is there any kind of light you can get turned on/off easily that'll fit in the end of the net's pole/handle? It oughta always be pointed in the proper direction that way if you can get a wide enough angle and of course get it turned on/off.
I'll be breaking in a new motor just as soon as we can get some decent weather. I've been trying to get to Nelson for the last 3 weeks for that very thing but can't get my work schedule to line up with the weather. I've been staring at this new engine since December and it's killing me!
Hopefully the ramp at Nelson is usable. Several years ago the water was low about this time of year. Trailer wheels dropped off the end of the ramp and it took about two hours and several guys to get that mess out. I bent my single trailer axle in the process. Ramp is probably fixed by now. Anyone else have an issue there? This was the ramp near the outlet.
Time for an extended "get to know ya" session w/the SL900.
If it were me, I'd look into spraying the wood with that stuff they use for bed liners. I've seen some guys do that on other boats and it apparently extends the life of the wood and is easier to clean out since you can just hose it down. Installation is quick since youre just spraying it all in there. No clue what the cost is on that though.
