Thanks I forgot about hull number. What if seller isn't the same as last guy it was registered too?I purchased a used boat several years ago with same situation. I checked with Game & Fish and was told that titles are not required in ND. Was instructed to provide Game & Fish with a bill of sale reflecting the hull serial number and serial number of motor. G&F was able to provide registration with that info. Was several years ago so not sure if anything has changed.
File off the last 2 digits of the hull number and BAM, brand new number that's never been registered before.I didn't say that lol. BUT hypothetically, if a guy has a boat that some other dude just left at his place for 20 years and it's worth say $500 then what?
Why does Government have to be so flipp'n complicated?
When I used to work for the State I told people I manufactured red tape for a living…Why does Government have to be so flipp'n complicated?
And what if guy who left it there has passed away?I didn't say that lol. BUT hypothetically, if a guy has a boat that some other dude just left at his place for 20 years and it's worth say $500 then what?
Write a number on it with a black marker and take a picture of it.I have a co worker going through this right now. He is trying to register an inflatable (think zodiak) that is 10ft long and has a motor plate on the back. No Hull ID number. He has tried for the last year off and on and gets the run around.
There's a lot of old Aluminum boats sitting around. The bathtubs transom is scary. I have a 2013 15hp 4-stroke Yamaha I bought brand new. Just trying to decide if it's worth the hassleDamn Rowdy if it's only worth 500 did you have to knock him off??![]()
Make sure you have a safety chain. LBThere's a lot of old Aluminum boats sitting around. The bathtubs transom is scary. I have a 2013 15hp 4-stroke Yamaha I bought brand new. Just trying to decide if it's worth the hassle
