It's time to start fighting back against this lunacy. I will no longer support the following companies for severing their ties with the NRA:

Enterprise
National
Alamo
Wyndham Worldwide
MetLife
Symantec

Add more if they come up

Exactly! Pressure was applied to get the bank to drop the NRA in the first place. Let's make them regret that. Strength in numbers folks. I'll be calling & cancelling on Monday.

^^This^^

I completely agree this is not Scheels’ fault. Let me put it this way: let’s say Scheels carries a line of fishing reels that are selling very well. Scheels makes more room on the sales floor and invests in a boatload of these reels. One day the manufacturer of these reels makes a profound political statement that is antithetical to the views of consumers. As a result, consumers boycott the company. Scheels is now stuck with a bunch of reels they can’t sell that are occupying valuable floor space. Is it Scheels fault that one of their business partners did something stupid? No. Will Scheels suffer nonetheless? Yes.

I cancelled my card because it provided quantifiable evidence that coming out against the gun owners WILL hurt your business. The impact is greater if the companies see cards are actually getting cancelled, not just people threatening to cancel.

For what it’s worth, I let Scheels know that I will continue to shop at Scheels and will take out a new card once they find a new bank.

A problem as I see it is there are too few large banks (and getting fewer) that handle these type of accounts. So these decisions and policies are being made by fewer people. And where do these people come from. Liberal La La Land. It is an uphill battle for Midwest values and beliefs. And the slope is getting steeper.

I wonder why people don't have the same reaction to Facebook or amazon, both owned by people that hate and mock our way of life, and spend big money lobbying against gun rights these guys are the real enemy, not Scheels.

I emailed Scheels and wrote that i would give them 30 days to drop their association with the credit card company and if they don't i will cancel my credit card and also stop doing business with Scheels. I know Scheels didn't do it but if they don't drop their association with the credit card company then that falls back on them also.
Sometimes you have to threaten a little bit to see some action with the problem.
I believe Scheels will do something about it as fast as they can.

I use amazon a few times a year for the wife presents but I really don't believe in what they are doing to the brick and mortar stores.

I dropped Facebook a few years ago and I have not regretted it one bit! I don't think I could have handled it during the election and standing rock protests with all the idiots on there. If I could recommend something everyone should do is drop Facebook.

Youtube is now in the process of suspending gun channels. Leftists are dogpiling and trying to persuade youtube to drop NRATV. Military Arms Channel had to pull their content to avoid suspension. Hank Strange has his channel deleted for “violating community standards.”

Everybody is free to do as they wish but I'm glad that First National dropped the NRA. All the NRA does is sell fear.

You're right. The NRA does "sell fear" to motivate their constituents and push their agenda. So does every anti-gunner.
At the end of the day, they're the only major organization out there working to protect the 2nd Amendment.
I'm a life member.

Well I have never had a facebook account and I used amazon once about 10 years ago so I'm not their target audience.

I see the list of places that are dropping their relationships with the NRA and some of them I do business with. I am dropping any association with those companies today and will continue to add to the list of places I do not do business with as they "jump on the bandwagon".

What an opportunity for a hotel, bank, or other business to garner an tremendous following. All they have to do is say they support the 2nd amendment, the NRA, and the freedoms this nation was founded on. I'd go out of my way to support those establishments. We'll see if any businesses take advantage of this. Hit'em in the wallet. It's their only soft spot.
