Paxton turbo car?Believe there was an indy car that was turbine powered. Was not a quick accelerator, but once going no one could keep up. Exhaust pointed up, probably to generate more down force (pre wing cars).

Turbine or rotary?My friends sister had a Mazda with a turbine engine. It lasted 35K, but she didn't know she was supposed to change oil.

The wenkel was a rotary not turbine if that's what your referring to for mazda...another very cool engine that could have been...IF it was done correctly.
