So now the property owner that sued will go out and remove any corner markers…and $90 million in damages in the lawsuit sounds a trifle inflated/made up.

Even if markers aren't there. just say "i crossed at the exact corner, no further comment". Its up to landowner to PROVE WITHOUT A DOUBT you didnt. Impossible.
