best time to spray is like you said. After the hard frost, the plant wants to suck up some moisture and again if you have the week killer down, it gets sucked up and dies!!
We have canadian thistle with some leafy spurge to the north of us in a huge empty lot (lots actually). That shit blows in from the prevailing northwest winds. We use milestone and 2-4 D to control leafy spurge and Canadian thistle in our CRP so may have to give this a test in town. (SHHHHHHH)!! We live in Mandan and the pricks that own the lots to the north of us live in FARGO. City doesn't work with us much to control the NOXIOUS weeds so may take it upon myself. They are supposed to mow at least once a month or after 6" of growth. Think the city mowed it once last year...Bastages
Anyone else like to let the boulevard weeds grow into weed patches because of all the salt, sand and gravel the city pushes up into the grass during the winter? Like to put it into cement or gravel or pavers but that isn't allowed either. Bastages[/QUOTE
The County should have someone that deals with noxious weeds and if you complain to them, it should be taken care of.
