Devil lake vol fire ice derby who's going

Lake lida derby -- much worse -- -instead of walking through water -- imagine driving through up to your bumper water on the lake. Hell the ice just got safe up at dl -- i wouldnt expect them to clear it a few weeks ago.

Exactly, not much for plowed trails anywhere on the lake until about a week before the tourney this year. Then it warmed up for a week and melted a bunch of snow. They could have plowed six mile bay completely out and there would have still been a lot of water on the ice. They do what they can with the hand they are dealt. If you fished in the tourney and didn't wear some sort of water proof gear after having 30 degree weather for a week and knowing the number of participants would be up which increases water on the ice, then I can't feel sorry for your cold wet feet. Seemed to be a well run event as always, and I didn't see too many names in the paper of people doing stupid things, I'd call that a success. Good job DLVFD.
