Anyone ever try to build your own walk in cooler? Have started looking into it and I think this would be about the easiest way to do it.

Grandpa has one. Just a small insulated room with an A/C on high. Serves the purpose.

I've been doing hvac and refrigeration service for 15 years, that will work, however if your trying to keep costs down, like I assume you are by using the window shaker, you can simply build the box out of plywood panels with 2" insulation in between, lots of them out there
