I guess I don’t understand how the issue either…. I’m as conservative as they come but when you have leaf blower, weed eater , chainsaw all using the same battery why not? I don’t need machines that are commercial grade hours and hours of use. If batteries allow me ease and speed the process I’m all for it

Jdinny hit it on the head, kudos. Live in town, yard takes about 40 minutes to mow. This includes emptying the catch bag. Ryobi, uses 40V 4 ah battery. Snow blower uses the same battery (5ah). Both are quiet and have lights so I can do my chores at any hour without upsetting neighbors. Gotta love progress.

I became frustrated with every chainsaw I owned starting whenever I wanted to trim some branches, etc. in the yard. Went to an electric and it has started with one pull of the trigger every time I used it. Don't use it for firewood but ever since I've gone to a propane fireplace I don't cut firewood either. Still use my gas zero-turn mower but if I found one that cuts a 52" path I would certainly be interested.

Long ways from considering an EV pickup.

One step closer to the end.

Does the snowblower have enough HP to blow snow, say a foot deep? My Ariens (gas) powers through it. 28" SHO (super high output).

I really want to head to an electric lawn mower. But need to do a lot of homework first. What model mower do you have?

I have the ryobi 40V brushless snow blower. It is single stage and cuts about 18" wide. It will chew through a set of batteries when the snow is wet and heavy or over 8"-10". I have a corner lot with two drives and lots of sidewalk. Usual Nodak snow (2"-6" dry snow) I can do both drives and the sidewalks in just over one charge. If it is going be be a heavy snowfall, I try to get out after 4" and stay ahead of it.
The mower is not self propelled and I can cut everything on one charge with room to spare. I am very busy in the summer so I like that I can cut the grass anytime because it is so quiet. It also has a full width light on the front of the deck so you can see what is ahead.
Since they both use the same battery I got extras which gives me two sets (5AH & 6AH) which helps when moving snow as they take a while to charge.
Hope that helps.

yeah probably not the snowblower then for me

The Ariens has served me well. IT is a pleasure to blow snow with it. You aren't fighting its weight like I did with my Toro/MTD's

I went back to a gas mower. I went with a Cub Cadet CC30H so no more pushing mowers for me.
