Just curious what everyone's favorite fish to eat is. Everyone I talk to says walleye but personally I think there is nothing better than properly prepared northern.

Of those choices, I have to go with perch. But my favorite freshwater fish to eat, hands down, is crappie.

I can't say that I've everhad crappie before. Personally I have only ever caught them three and of them probably less than a dozen total of walleye.

Got to try eye, perch white bass, Northern, burbot, or crappie breaded in cheezit crackers. That's quite tasty

Deboned northern breaded looks and tastes like perch IMO

It was a hard choice between northern and perch, but i guess I like northern a bit better. Catfish is pretty good too though.

Walleyes are flavorless, just the smell of a northern frying produces a gag reflex, and every perch I've ever cut open had parasites. I'll go with tuna.

Must be from MN never seen a perch with parasites in ND. They did give us zebra mussels so it's posible they gave us them also.

I used to be a diehard walleye guy but over the past few years I have seen the light on how delicious crappies taste. Plus I seem to catch more of them and the limit is bigger too so it's easier to get enough to feed the family.

They have to be baked in your wheel barrow for optimal flavor it has a couple years of seasoning in it.

Not required, but that wheel barrow does add that hard to describe flavor to the wiggle rice.
