I've made Scottish eggs a few times out of seasoned deer sausage wrapped in bacon and cooked in the smoker instead of deep frying. Damn there good, have to do some soon. Nice little breakfast warmed up while out ice fishing.

You can also wrap the unbreaded sausage/egg in bacon, & grill on medium until bacon is slightly crisp.
Or if careful, just wrap the egg with sausage and directly on the grill (no bacon...sin!)

Rhombus Brewing used to sell Scotch Eggs. That was a staple with a beer on our brewery bike rides.

Now add a little Tabasco or Frank's for the Scottys, a dill pickle wedge.... and you've got the perfect snack to go with a cold beverage of choice!!

With the price gouging of beef nowdays, I've gotten to eat & enjoy more pork lately.
However, as beef rises & people switch to pork, chicken, etc, the prices have jumped on non-beef meats also. Isn't American groceries prices fun?
Ever notice how once prices jump for whatever reason, they never go back down!
