I've never been lucky enough to find a wild asparagus patch. I've tried growing Martha Washington variety with modest success, but really enjoy fresh steamed spears.

For now I'm stuck buying the stuff in the stores at around $3.99 a lb. Ouch!!

Was going to grill a chicken outside today but sugar melts when it gets wet so I opted for the oven.
