That web site shows inflation in 2021 was 4.7%. That seems off.

Bring back the sixties $0.31/gallon. Adjusted for inflation today would be about $3.05/gallon. Production/refining costs have been going down for a long time. Remember these same gas prices in the mid/late 90's. I made a lot less money then. Buck up and quit being such a bunch of snowflakes.
Yeah let's not be happy about what we were paying about a year ago. I suppose you are for higher taxes as well? Dumbass!Bring back the sixties $0.31/gallon. Until we can get our nuts out of the vice that OPEC has us in, we're going to be paying these prices regardless of politics. Keystone XL doesn't change things much. We need investment in shale oil exploration, but given the wild price fluctuations few want to go there anymore. We've got to face the music that we're just not energy dependent....and electric vehicles aren't going to save us. I think we'll be lucky to be in the high $2 range at any time in the near future. I've been paying over $3.30 for months now in SD.
