I struggled on the east end,, both for salmon and walleye on sundayThey are starting to move shallower, the bite was tougher last weekend though. Easy to find them, hard to make them eat.

You're right on. My uncle was catching lots of walleyes up at Sak well before the big bite of the 80's. These were the only lures they used.Get yourself a six pack of these and that should be all you need. LAZY IKE, not flat fish or wargglers or Yakima Baits. In the 70-80-90’s we rarely fished deeper than 12 foot(with a 90 merc) n caught da s**t out of them

I've done really well on the Lindy Riverrocker. You're right on. My uncle was catching lots of walleyes up at Sak well before the big bite of the 80's. These were the only lures they used.
Planning to try to catch some salmon trolling tomorrow morning, no riggers so well be trying shallow. Never done this before. Plan to put in at govt bay. Any suggestions on what to use or where to start out would be appreciated. Ive heard they like jointed rapalas? I was gonna start out in 15 to 20ft of water. Do I need to get the cranks near the bottom, or will they come up and chase?
I bought some boards recently so Ill put shallow runners on the boards and then run 2 deeper divers behind the boat I think, hopefully the wind stays light through the morning.I would put out as many rods as you can with some running shallow, and some running deep. You will most likely see a fair number of salmon swirling around and hitting bugs(?) on the surface.
How deep? East end or west? Hoping to sneak out this weekend or middle of next week.Another beautiful day to be on sak!
Big fish was caught deep or else it'd have been released.

I gotta get a couple of those and see if they have similar results. I do know that the “Ike” had a unique rolling action along with a tight vibration to it that the flatfish never had.I've done really well on the Lindy Riverrocker.
