On average 6-8 dogs each walk running name a breed. I can tell you about a good one and a bad one. It's more about the owner and the blood coursing through the dog than the " breed". All the guides run labs or one Springer had shorthairs and wires Griff that was good to. The lab wins on versatility that's why we pick them plus we know the parents parents and know they are hunters which Trump's breed.

Back to the allergy thing. I would have an issue getting a dog I or my kids would be allergic too.

I would run the allergy thing by your breeder. We did originally as my wife and kid r allergic to dogs with oily hair. My neighbor had a shorthair that shampooed or not his coat felt like a labs. Most of mine have always had dry hair that has no oder.

If we are still discussing GSP indoor vs outdoor, ours would not do well exposed to the outdoor conditions. They do well in large kennels in a heated garage and also find their way into our house a great deal of time. Our pups will hunt in deep snow and severe cold, but would not do well if not sheltered in a warm kennel.
