How much did those end up costing you?
I believe about $1250, they were a couple hundred cheaper thru the hearing place then just general retail online. My insurance covered the exam and the molds or at least the bill hasn't come yet ha.

Grand Forks. Dr. Kevin Fire, Fire Audiology. Extremely knowledgeable and HONEST.
Friend went in and was evaluated. Dr. Fire asked "Do you think you need hearing aides?"
Friend said "my wife thinks I do". Dr. Fire asked "what do you think/". Friend said "not
really".
Dr. said "I agree not at the present time".
I do not know him personally, however he and I took our CC shooting test together a few years ago.

If you go through ND Vocational Rehabilitation, they can save you thousands on hearing aids if you need them to work.

I'd double check with Blue cross just incase your policy has a hearing aid allowance. I'm going to call my BCBS # and confirm what their website says about our policy's hearing aid allowance. There is no mention about them being secondary provider or any indication that they won't pay. If not then it's straight up false advertising.
Medicare does not cover them. Medicare Advantage does. Just another perk.

One step closer to the end.
Question for the court.

Do hearing aids help with tinnitus?
I am confused. I thought that hearing aids increase the sounds that you hear.

Wouldn't that just make the tinnitus worse in my ears?
Right now, ANY loud noises are a bad deal. My ears ring more and at certain pitches and or sound levels they actually vibrate and it is painful. OUCH!!!

So someone that has hearing aids, DO hearing aids help with tinnitus?

My tinnitus is better now with the hearing aids. I hardly notice the constant buzzing in my ears. It’s much worse when I remove my hearing aids. My ears never quit buzzing. Ever.

What brand of hearing aid did you go with?
Thanks for answering.

I've found mixed reports on whether they help dilute the tinnitus. The research I've done isn't positive due to the different types of tinnitus. Ringing in the ears is the most common, but variations can be buzzing, clicking and popping sounds. The guy I mentioned in my earlier post has the ringing and said the Phonak has helped with that.
Wonder if you can try-before-you-buy to see?

My tinnitus quit when I had my hearing aids.
Then I lost them and not going to pay again for another set. My left ear is almost deaf and right ear is about half I think.
