Any one go see Kevin Costner's first Horizon movie yet?
I know him not finishing the Yellowstone Series, is hurting Horizon attendance because quite a few of Yellowstone fans are staying away, because of it.
Hate that it is in a theatre only but I guess my bride and I might just stroll down and see it.
Haven't been in a theatre since 1994, when we went to see 8 seconds.
Now we just buy the DVD's and watch at home.

Want to, but can't seem to match up with the wife's schedule . It is one of those movies that should probably be watched on the big screen, but at three hours it's at least a two-pisser so you chance missing a good part. At home I can pause a movie and piss 10 times if I wanted to. I guess I could skip the 5 gallon bucket of Mt Dew with my popcorn at the theater.

The fact that you can watch a movie in your home on a 75+inch tv in 7.1 surround sound with your very own popcorn machine.

I couple friends of mine went and they werent impressed, I forget what they said exactly about it, I think it was long and the story was hard to follow or something along that line... Anyway Ill probably wait for it to come out in another format unless I hear some great reviews soon.

It was long and not too exciting but it seems as though it was setting the stage for the next 3 chapters. Some of the scenery and videography made it well worth seeing on the big screen. We'll probably see Chapter 2 at the very least.

I guess he's trying for a "Hatfield/McCoy's" on the big screen?...

Who knows...this might become another "Outlaw Jose Wales"--a love or hate it. Are there good one liners?

It's already coming to video on demand July16th, next Tuesday, and they pulled the second installment from being released in August. Apparently it sucks.

I thought it was OK, but not fantastic. I also thought it was fragmented, but come together some by the end. Its going to be streaming so think the wife and I will watch it again. I don't know if it was the theater or the movie but the sound sucked. We only heard half at best and often had to guess at what was said.

Horizon is streaming, I think it was on max, watched part of it last night. Not impressed, too much stupidity in it for me. They build this town right next to a river that obviously floods on the regular, is anyone that dumb? The kids in it dont seem to be very good actors. The town, which appears to be fairly well armed, is decimated by indians who are few in number and many are shooting arrows. Story is slow and doesnt really grab you, character development feels very weak. Im about half way in and I quit, maybe Ill watch the rest, maybe not.

I watched it shortly after it came out with high expectations. It was mediocre at best. They really needed to cut the movie length by half. Like others had mentioned, the writing was poor, the plot was very predictable and the people of the town were idiots. I don't think I'll get around to watching the second part unless its re-edited.

I think the movie was too long for me like I was watching a soap opera on TV where the shows storyline was drawn out in a way that if it was simplified it possibly could have been better. It was like listening to woman tell you about the day she had

I wonder if actors/directors know when a movie they created sucks, before it is released. Or if it is like peoples kids, everyone thinks their own kids are great, no matter how talentless or ugly or stupid they are.
