Fished out of Sportmans Centennial last evening for a few hours. The access to the ice was as good as any place I have been this year. Ramp was plowed, as well as a few trails plowed out onto the ice. About 12-15 permanents out there. Lots of trucks out on the ice. Seemed like if you mainly stayed on the plowed trail, and picked your spots where to venture off it you were pretty good. I did hit a big slush pocket with my tracked atv and nearly got stuck. Ended up being about 2 feet deep and about 15 yards long. Bogged my machine down pretty good, but managed to just make it out, so be aware and watch for drifts. Fishing was slow. Managed 1 pike and lost 2 other fish I did not see. Marked tons of fish, and a lot of baitfish that at some points took up 6-8 feet of my screen. Fish must be eating well, so they are not that hungry for what I was trying to throw at them last night!!
