forget why this site was built for all of us... it was largely because of egos that couldn't be reigned in on another site... people there had to start making decisions they probably didn't want to, and regret to this day...

lets try to be respectful of V and what he's built here and treat it more like something borrowed than owned... with all he has invested here, he deserves more than the damaged goods a few could turn this into...

Not much really. The other site failed because of the eggos of the people running it thought they could change something that had worked for years and that the site was bigger than its members. It can get rough at times but it also weeds out the bad elements such as a guy coming on here and lieing about his kid falling through the ice and dieing

Remember guys this place is like a bar, it attracts all kinds and we won't get along with everyone who comes in. Many of us have been on this site and the previous one for many years and we generally get along as we hash out the curve balls that life throws at us.

We always seem to do a good job of sniffing out the impostors, but where we fail is in our knee jerk reaction to dog pile and kick the $hit out of them...and then drag the longtime members into the battle. Svn and lunker are good guys and we all know that, so rather than be suspect of the long time members in these situations, we need to always be suspicious of the new guys that start stirring the pot right out of the gate. I'm sure V can look at IP addresses and such as soon as things start to get suspicious and we could just avoid the battles and hurt feelers.

Vollmer....maybe we need to look at having a probationary status for 6 months.
