Anyone run the li time lithium batteries for their trolling motors? They are priced about 1/3 the price of others

Seems I've read good things on other sites about them; bought one a couple weeks ago with a charger for about $160

I run four in my 189 gl. Really like them. For the cost the 5 year warranty doesn’t scare me. Only issue i had was I bumped my electronics on and sent the battery to 0. Needed to play with the charger a little but got it back up. Full day guide trips and still only a couple hours to fully charge. Never ran out of battery and that’s the first time in the last 3 years.

What Amp Hour did you buy? And which model - bluetooth, etc?

Lincoln, kinda...
It appears to be able to monitor battery status via bluetooth

Amazon product

Good grief, while I can see where there's some benefit to this...I put it right up there with Amped Outdoors' BMS. BMS = Battery Management System

I must be the only one to read the words on the Amped Outdoors battery chargers as I specifically asked the Scheels people about "WTF is this" as they were labeled as for use only with BMS batteries, or something like that...I already threw the box away. Something about temp control, etc.

Oddly enough, they don't use the expression "this is a battery with BMS" on their own damn batteries. At least, not prominently on the exterior of their batteries.

Agreed - I was just curious to hear if and why bluetooth option was worthwhile. But mainly which Amp Hour was producing results of full day guiding. Seems like a cheap upgrade for a guy already in the market for new batteries.

My use would be 10-12 hours fishing with a trolling motor chasing bass while I cast along a shoreline.....

I purchased an Epoch lithium battery system on Black Friday. 36 volt 100AH (2 batteries) for trolling motor and a 12 volt 100AH for fish finders with chargers was about $1,500. I'll keep the standard lead acid starting battery.

12V 100 amp TM connected for 36 volt trolling motor. Of course I ordered mine a week before the Bluetooth ones came out. Biggest pain was needing to order a new charging system and wiring that through.

I put 8 six volt batteries lead acid in the golf cart last spring. Would these little lighter fellas do the trick?

Probably get 4+ more years outa this recent investment, but for the next go around. As I age, I really hate lifting 60+ lbs batteries.

Yep that's the only thing holding me back from going lithium at this point.
It’s not a joyful process but at the same time not a terrible spring process. I did mine in June when wanting to use the boat so I did not enjoy it.

Does anyone run a solar charger for the boat batteries? Not sure how it would work with a 36v battery???

I’m stating this and I know less than nothing on the subject.

My Lund originally had the 2 batteries in the back but 1 charger and the second battery would “call” for a charge and charge off the other. I didn’t like it but it seemed to kind of work. I adventurous went to a dedicated before I went to lithium. So maybe there is a way it works there. Again I don’t know how this works. I suppose the only “need” is when you’re off grid or you’re worried the batteries don’t run all day. I’m not sure how long including on these lithiums but I know for 15 hours I’m good.
