Bait is like boobs, its a real thing for me.

I don't like fake plastic puke either.

I way agree with regards to the human anatomy.

But plastics are just plain superior for pitching. One easily spends twice the amount of time fishing vs. rebaiting all the time with live bait. Plus - if there are dink fish issues (bait-stealers like gills or perch) all you feel is the rat-a-tat-a-tat but you can just keep on fishing. With live bait it's gone. Grrrr.

I've only been using plastics the last couple years but from what I've learned in most cases it works better for me. You can't argue with results!

gulp -- -3 reasons I use it ---- one if the eyeballs are little bait stealers and two if its a minnow day and all I have is crawlers -- or I just ran out of bait. I also use with live bait. I cant really say that it catches better or worse than live bait -- depends on the fish - its a tool like anything else

i usually start out with live bait especially in the spring jigging minnows. if live bait i slow then i will usually put a gulp on and try that
