What type of not do you use on the 1st hook on a crawler harness? I have been having a hard time getting them to line up properly.

I like to use about a 3ft leader with just enough beeds to for the spinner blade to be in-front of the hook. i also like to use only 1 hook it seams to tangle less for me and catch just as many fish

I usually double thread my first bead so I can control where my bead starts. Then put four more on.

so what line are you running on your reel so that when you snag you don't loose your bottom bouncer if your running 14lb on the spinner leader

That's what I was thinking. I use 8 lb Power Pro and 6 lb Trilene XL on my spinners/Lindy's. I lose a lot of rigs, but learned a long time ago it's better for everyone to do a quick breakoff and continue fishing, rather than going back and trying to un-snag.

I use 14lb XT leader about 5ft long. Use 14 so the line doesn't twist up. I put 6, 5mm beads and a colorado blade. Color depends on what the beer gods tell me to do.
