I by nature am way to cheap to blow $200+ a battery in my 36 volt system, I will just purchase batteries every 2 years for $100 each and spend twice as much...effn batteries.;:;banghead

I would have figured trailer lights would be the most hated thing for you guys. I know they drive me up the freaking wall.

My most recent battery fiasco ended up with me buying two walmart ones for 89 a piece. They're actually doing pretty well so far. We'll see how they turn out. The next set will be coming from fleet farm though. Damn you easterners.

are the newer LED models a major league step up with regard to bullet-proofness? do they make LED replacement that don't cost $30 a bulb or some rip-off price?

also - with today's bluethooth etc. you'd thing the truck could talk directly to the lights - sans those t-sprinkling wires

for the record I did NOT pay $200 each for my batteries! I lie in wait for sales like a lion in the grass stalking his fleet farm prey :;:muahaha

My truck can "talk" to the lights. It tells me the left turn signal is not functioning. It's correct.

River City Sports Bismarck has some Optronics that are reasonable priced and have decent warranty. Depending on how many LEDs in lamp, they start burning out. Optronics covers replacement with fewer burnt out than other brands. I am replacing two with Optronics on my Warrior trailer.

I have tried many brands AC Delco, Exide, Energizer, Interstate, and Walmart. The worst experience was Exide. Will not buy them again. I am interested in Crown, but do not know much about them. Not a fan of AGM or Gel batteries. Do not see the value of price versus battery life. I have a 225 Mercury Optimax. Only cranking battery I found to meet Mercury cranking requirement was a 27 series Interstate. Running two Interstate blems for trolling motor. Blems were half price and only had short warranty. Three years later still work fine. I will ask Interstate Battery for blems next time
