what a crazy year for weather... 2" rains with nothing in the forecast... huge hail with barely a threat... over a foot of rain inside a week in spots this summer... HUGE t-storms you could see 100+ miles away... and the fricken wind EVERY friday thru sunday, all summer long...

now into the winter cycle with more crazy storms that seem to sneak up out of nowhere...

how bout some predictions... might b fun to look back in may and see how we did...

i'd say 70" of snow in williston with at least 2 more good old fashion, nobody moves, 3 day baby makin blizzards...

you???

Now that we have ice I see the muskrats are starting to build huts a long long ways from shore , They have perfectly good huts closer to shore but they sense something. Never found a wasp, bee or hornet nest all year so no guess how deep the snow will get. based on that I'm thinking at the least it will be long and cold, Stocking up on groceries, consumables and fuel just incase. I have pictures of a D-8 Caterpillar dozing out our driveway and hear of others being without electricity for weeks. Do your family a favor and be prepared. It's easy to forget just how deadly our climate is.

Fargo has some wind. Haven't been to Bismarck since Thanksgiving so I have no idea what you're talking about. I predict more jack shit for Little Minneapolis this winter. Probably okay with the wife as she says the baby farm is closed.

Once again the storm missed Fargay. This has become the norm of late. I predict 40 inches of precipitation for the winter season.

And other than shit roads, not much snow. Too bad we don't have a huge walleye lake nearby. Ice would be awesome with our lack of white stuff.

We had four inches last night at 10:00. High wind and white out right now. I have new tires in town and an appointment at 7:30 this morning. I don't know if I can make it.
Our normal snow fall is about 38 inches here. I'll stick my neck out for 45 inches. I predict we will be looking for bodies at protest city before the winter is over (if a few stay).

Second snow day for Minot AFB and Minot Public Schools in the last week...not a good start to the winter season! May be a "normal" winter in ND.

I hear where they called of Bismarck Public Schools for today too. That is 3 times in a week. Kids might be going to school on Saturdays like we had to back in the day.
