I wish ND would restrict Minnisoters and their damn ANS. Last summer when I was at a Parshall bay boat landing, out of 18 rigs parked there, 16 were from Minn.
It is only going to get worse if MN decreases the limit to four. I know this is a really long shot but I hope the Legislature and the GF department wake up and get a little proactive on this and limit number of nonresidents increase the nonresident fees and also either do a slot limit or decrease the ND limit to match otherwise you will see tougher fishing coming to our lakes in ND. But then again to our leaders and GF dept it is only about money. Merry Christmas

If you listen to the story they're blaming technology. With live sonar and social media reporting hot bites, they say it's easier so redcue the poseession limits.

There are many states contemplating this. Down south the crappie limits are in question due to FFS. They can’t limit tech but sure can change the limit.

Funny how limits change the mindset and perception of experience. Remember a one goose limit? Then three? Five bird early season? Now 8 all year long? We pissed ourselves killing three each. Now we shoot 6 each and are short of a limit and some feel the day wasn’t good. I know catching 16 fish in S.D. gets me drinking beer sooner than 20 in ND for 4 guys. And I’m plenty happy with 16 in SD.

Point is, if limits and possession are that big of a deal, maybe we’re not in it for the right reasons anyway. There is no reasonable justification for per pound walleye costs anyway. You’re better off buying ribeyes even at today’s prices.

Drive around a Minnesota lake and look at all the North Dakota license plates. I think you’d be surprised.

It has always been surprising that MN's walleye limit is higher than ND and SD, although most of their popular fisheries are more restrictive.

So what? Every summer mn sells 35k nodak non rez fishing licenses.... doesn't effect me or my goto lakes but apparently north dakotans like northern Minnesota, gotta go to the game. But mn land of 10,000 laws and asshole deep in taxes ffs. Over populated, overrun with 3rd world trash with zero leadership. But we still have our firearms with stacks of ammo.... I've been hoarding since obummers run.

Right, probably about 1 or 2 ND plates out of 18... Minn sucks for fishing. Why do you think they all come here? Daaah

North dakota has great people, excellent fishing and hunting opportunities far less fishing pressure and liberal limits and no possession (freezer limits) for game pigs. My .02.

Ok, you know it all. Have you ever driven from eastern ND to the Minnesota lakes country on a summer Friday afternoon? It’s bumper to bumper all the way to Detroit Lakes. Is there anything you’re not a know it all on?
