I am not a techy person by a long shot, more of a point and click surfer guy but have had some issues with my home pc slowing down a lot the last couple months and yesterday I had it as it wouldn't even load up basic forum pages, called my internet provider to see if he could see where the slowness was coming from, had something on my pc that was streaming movies but not on my end it was just running through my pc but he couldn't pin it down took about an hour and half on the phone and he remoted into my pc and cleaned it up set up some stuff i could never figure out got the security stuff working again and deleted a bunch of stuff and then she was supercharged again, he loaded google chrome for me and i loaded ad blocker and never knew how much crap there actually was slowing down my browsing pleasure.
Just thought I would share for no good reason other than I am happy to instantly see the forum minus the adds now.Thumbs Up

Yes, this is why you use the work computer to look at porn.

I thought this was a thread about getting a little something or other, especially since there was a topic of wives.:;:rockit

Not where I'd like to be
Apple Mac, done.

All your previous 'wisdom' had been made suspect by the three words above. ;)

In the past, the idea that "Macs are more secure" or "Macs don't get viruses" was only sort of true because they had like 1% market share and hackers will generally focus their efforts on the largest market share to get more 'bang for their buck'.
Today, with all of the iphones out there, the game has changed a bit, and this is just patently untrue.

Steps for keeping your PC (or Mac) happy and fast:
1. Keep your PC up to date.
2. Get an antivirus program and keep it up to date.
3. Don't let your kids use it.
4. Stop looking at Asian Donkey porn.

have had a macbook for ~5 years - zero issues, zero renewing of antivirus bs, its literally the same as the day i bought it.

had to buy a pc laptop last year for my job at the time. Went to shit inside a year. No porn viewed, or weird things downloaded at all.
