Well you guys can decide if I'm "real" or not... I'm going to try some close by spots and see what I can get to bite...

Hang around awhile girl. The ridiculousness will subside as the novelty of having a lady on board wears off. Us old timers here can help with this by verbally chastising the more enthusiastic shitbirds on here. Then there is ALWAYS the ever present VMAN. The principal of this school for the sportsmanly insane. This site really has some good folks with a wealth of info. Do some searches on a topic of interest to you and you will find out that us mongrels really do try to help out. PM a few guys that share your interests.

Oh I can take it... I'm tough.. Just not sure it's worth it.. I'm sure I can find someone to fish with. I've never had to beg for company on the water... I'm not about to start.

Ah, the old switcheroonie. "Well, I guess I don't really NEED help..."

You're good at baiting a hook, I'll give you that.

It'll be worth it when you have some time to fish and are looking for some up to date info on what's happening. If you're ever in the Valley City area and want to try for a walleye or 5 on the fly, send me a PM. I can put you on a few spots where you can ACTUALLY back cast without catching trees and bushes. Waders are a plus as well.

I didn't mean to sound bitchy... But damn, you boys are skeptical... Yes, I'm single after a 15 year marriage and yes... I hunt, fish and generally do awesome stuff on my days off. Was hoping to meet some cool people!

I've been laying back to see how long it would take for y'all to run her off. Not very scary stories about me IMHO. Thanks. Glad she has tough skin.

Gentlemen, it was per my recommendation Mia joined "new FBO" based on the amount of cool people I have been fortunate enough to meet on here. And I have to say that I appreciate 5 pages of "not creepy" lol

I will personally Vouch that she's pretty legit with two pretty major flaws...

1: She is a Detroit Lions fan
2: she cannot sneak up on doves for shit.

Some darned fine walleye fishing to be had in Bismarck, wading from shore. A fine fine spot within minutes of town. I wade a couple months in the spring, and a few in the fall, and there are some dandies to be found. A few big pike too. Take a look through my pics. Nearly all were shore-caught, wading and throwing cranks. Personal best eye was this spring, 28" long and 16" girth. Personal best pike was this spring too, 42.5" length. Both from same spot on shore, both while wading, both while throwing cranks.

If ever you're in Bismarck, bring waders and some cranks (I don't know about the fly fishing, but...) and I could show you.

She'd do fine with sinking line and streamers.

Tailrace too. Could also do well with with drys for trout there around the boat ramp.
