Capt Ahab will teach you how to show fish in pictures so they look twice as big as they are. Damed nice fish by the way.

Very nice fish. I'll go fishing with you if you teach me how to roll cast. My fly fishing skills are meager at best. But, I am going to try to land a sauger on the 5wt Sunday.

Where are you located? I'd be happy to help you learn how to roll cast... I've never taught anyone 😏

Bismarck area. Some decent places to fly fish for panfish around here. I've had a lot of fun with large mouth bass in Crown Butte dam and bluegills on Nelson Lake.

In the words of the inimitable Bugs Bunny: "trout, trout, purty little trout, one more splash and come right out!" Nice fish!

Nice fish, and pictures :;:thumbsup! After you've been around awhile, and get to know everyone here, you can figure out when they are serious, and when they aren't. Always be prepared to tuck your pants into your boots, because sometimes the shit gets so deep that you about need a shovel!! Its a great place to ask questions or seek advice on anything and everything because there is always someone with an answer. When people give you shit, the best thing to do is give it right back, if that doesn't work tell them to go titty sprinkle themselves!..............................................PS, hope you have better luck than I do at figuring out some of the gibberish svnmag spews out ;:;rofl

Most native north dakota fish can be taken from the tailrace. pike, walleye, rainbows, browns, cutthroats salmon, goldeye, whitefish, cisco, carp, channel cat, buffalo, carpsuckers, redhorse, common carp, drum, and more can all be taken on a fly in that area.

Welcome! The tailrace would be my first choice for almost anything that swims. For the next couple weeks you would have a good shot at landing a Salmon over by Riverdale on Sakakawea. But honestly if you put in the work you can catch fish on most body's of water in ND.
