Follow the fish or avoid the wind. West Sak will start up first and move along the lake in most general context. But there are always people catching fish somewhere. To avoid the wind very few places can offer that such as the Casino to Skunk Bay 27 miles of lake. Most scenic as well. Fishing pretty good and ability to avoid boats. Ramps not that great because west Enders mostly get forgotten about. Casino is okay. Marina okay. Van Hook okay.

Deepwater is a cool place to fish but on big wind days and fish not going in the bay you will get a suprise turning the corner and wanting to do main lake.

Mid section, I don't fish a lot except in DWC. Seems a bit more on the learned side versus doing Van Hook where it's fish factory.

Indian Hills can be good. Crackers delight at times.

Douglas is a mini Van hook. Ramps okay. But she be busy these days.

East End I think will be pretty good this year. It gets tougher fishing sometimes because water very clear and up shallow you get weed issues. But lots of islands to mess around on. I starting to take a liking to East End because it does offer challenge.

Sak is a dream. Big, diverse and places to hide from winds especially west middle.

Grab a Humminbird and you'll be fine. If water drops to 1830 ish grab a Navionics chip.

excellent advice here.

Early on fishing the north western areas are by far the best, up between Williston and new town, the fishing on the east end doesn't happen consistently until the water warms up.

Good luck and post reports. I look forward to hearing about your good luck
