Had another good night on the water. Kept a 2 man limit and got really hot right at 9 pm.

But it's always fkn something. 1st trip, scratch boat on that shit dock in Yates. 2nd trip we started taking on water bilge pump not working, had 2 would have had more. Figure that out 3rd trip dog gets a crank in the mouth. Good fishing tho but quit at 8 fish and missed the last 45 minutes before sunset. 4th trip tonight everything was great. Until loading the boat we popped a trailer tire at that SHIT RAMP. Fk me!!

Almost like clockwork. So many years where memorial weekend slow, next weekend hot.

So last night we got out at 5 pm started with bb. Only 3 on bb then at 7 switched to cranks. As sun got lower it picked up. Moved into 7 to 10 ft. As we left all three rods had a fish on right at 9 pm. We kept just a couple 14" but had a couple 19", the rest were 15 to 17.

We got out at 5:30 and were done at 6:20 and threw some small ones back 17-19" ones we kept. Slow death on bb

Do you remember the water temp. Last Saturday in Mobridge it was 60. Yesterday in Yates it was 70

It was a good 3 days of fishing. Also finished with a check from the Wolves on the Water fishing tournament on Saturday!!! Fish are really stacked here around New Evarts!

No it’s just one day. Or the guys who were good with the crank program

Oh I got mixed up when they listed 2 dates. They let them weigh 8 fish. I'm sure the older regulars wanted the big fish ban, can't say as I blame them.

Here are the tourney results.

Keep in mind this tourney is a fundraiser, and they wanted to encourage more people to join. Some quit due to the livescopers dominating in the past. It was a trial run, and I think most people really enjoyed the challenge. I know we did.

The locals I know that used to fish it didn’t. Why didn’t they ban crank baits the guys who were dominating that figured out the deep crank bait bite? I guess I look at tournaments different if I win I don’t want an asterisk by it I want everyone’s best.
