$1600 was that a one time thing or does it cover future years? Do we need to do an application every year?
And that is a total crock of shit. They are just counting on people forgetting or not knowing about it and putting $$$ in the coffers.yes every year...
I have to say I'm impressed by the effort the State puts into reminding people to apply for the credit (yes, I know you shouldn't have to apply every year but that's a dead horse). Between mailings, emails and ads on every platform imaginable it seems that if you don't remember to apply that's on you. Part of your responsibility as a homeowner, just like paying your property taxes on time and renewing your homeowners insurance. And that is a total crock of shit. They are just counting on people forgetting or not knowing about it and putting $$$ in the coffers.
Fricken Crooks. . .

Very true! The mayor of GF was on the radio crying they could only raise the value by 3%This $1,600 will be gobbled up when they triple the value of all our homes. Its a game of cards
Name changes it kicks it out just like other states that have similiar programs. You dont have to sign up year after year. If something changes both sides update it (new owner / old owner). The computers will check for duplicates and throw them out and those get dealt with on a individual basis just like now.I am guessing that they require the yearly sign up because maybe you sold your primary residence and are living in a van down by the river.
It doesn'tMy property taxes went from 1,000 a year to 5,000 since 2020....where does it stop?
