I may be a little biased on the gratis tag because i own land. I own a 160 acre pasture and a 47 acre farmstead that was inherited that my dad worked his ass off to afford. I went half on another 160 acres that me and my family have to sacrifice in order to afford. I picked up 160 acres in wyoming by constantly watching for land deals and just so happened to see something for the right price plus 1.5 acres on a lake in alaska. While others have hundreds of thousands of dollars tied up in expensive houses, pickups and boats and other stuff i bought land. I also dump thousands of dollars and lots of hours into habitat, raising birds and whatever else i can do along with allowing friends, family, and others depending on situation to enjoy my land and what it offers. If i can't get a tag to hunt my own property, why the hell would i put the effort into the habitat and bettering it for hunting. I would be better off breaking up everything i can, collecting the nice fat rent check and hiring a guide in another state and screw everyone else here that benefits from my work. So yes lets change the requirements or get rid of the tags and see how that all goes. I know i'm not the only one thats like this and more and more people will be like me as farms get split up more and more and smaller parcels are getting bought.
