I am replacing my camper water heater. I got it all installed and the electrical hooked up. My old water heater had about a 2 foot gas line extension going from my main camper line (coming in by the water heater) that extended out to the outside and hooked onto the water heater. So, when I replaced the old heater with the new, the extension that was on the old one really doesn't fit well on the new one. I went to Menards and really couldn't find anything similar other than a 2 ft rubber extension you would use for a grill propane tank. The older extension is some type of metal extension. Wasn't sure about the pressure and stuff. Do you think the rubber extension can replace the older metal extension?

Propane is potentially explosive. Take it to an RV dealership. Propane lines aren't a good place for amateurs. Get advice from a certified technician.

Unless this is your ex wifes camper, I would agree with Norske.
