it is going to get very interesting right after new years to see what comes up with the legislature . Hang on boys, it ultimately will not be determined until the very last day so they can get the hell out of town.

The story obviously left out the detail that the assessor decided the new deck woud increase the property's value by $50,000
Thank goodness the assessor did, as without this particular fella getting raped, some school somewhere would not have a new $50,000,000 gym addition, and some teachers would starve.

Raise property taxes or we will all die, I saw the commercials, and wont be tricked into thinking otherwise.

Right? Someone paid for all your school and civil services when you were a kid too. Go live in the 3rd world guys it would be right up your alley. Low taxes and you only have to worry about your own ass.

Don’t like it well stop voting for people who can’t wait to spend your money. The R behind their name means they funnel your money through a few of their friends before their brother in law gets a contract and tells you to feel good about small government and small business. The D means a government agency gets to spend it. At this point im not sure what’s better but neither deserve your loyalty.

I don't think anyone had a problem with paying for school with tax money. It's the egregious amounts that are spent on sport venues and other luxuries, and the insatiable thirst for our money that pisses people off.
My thought is that the state should disband the HS Activities Association. Make the extra curricular functions "private" so us taxpaying buffoons don't have to fund it. Back in HS i loved all the sports and played all our school had to offer. I don't recall the massive amounts of $$ that are spent on them now. Pay to play....that's what they do any ways in the off seasons if there even is one.
