We got almost 1.5 today. Starting to get some puddles around. I need to go see if blueblanket has taken on any water.

Keep in mind that this is the time of year that soaking rains brings shaggy mane mushrooms. My favorite.

p.s. If you screw up this easy-to-identify shroom and end up puking sick, don't blame me. ; )
p.p.s. Red wine is a known sick-trigger for some people - even with normally safe mushrooms.

Alan , I tried finding that map for Nelson county and couldn't seem to find it. One report says that Pekin ND got 0.06'' and another that says 0.60 ''

It's available via the "Rivers and Lakes" tab at weather.gov/bis

Once on that page, look to the right and click on the "Precipitation Estimate". Under that there are numerous options for displaying what you wish to see. There's also a checkbox to click "Display estimated precipitation on hover", that will show you the radar estimated amount for wherever your mouse pointer is at on the map.

You can also click on the counties tab under administrative boundaries to help you get a map with at least something for geographic reference. Just remember, these are radar estimated, so they can be off a bit from gage measured values.

Noticed they cut back releases from Garrison dam quite a bit this week. Was that due to all the rain or will that be for the foreseeable future?

Another 1/2 inch from noon yesterday puts us at 8.5 since last Saturday.

I've never seen creeks run like thus in the fall.
