I was just commenting to my better half how quiet it’s been this year. Thanks for jinxing us with this damn thread!!
I haven’t been back in town for the past week, I can’t imagine what it’s like there 😂 they usually go from 6 at night to 6 in the morning all week.

F everyone with jobs in the morning also I guess 🤷‍♂️, no one else minds holding back the fireworks until the 4th it was one guy on the whole lake. It was just a suggestion, I don’t believe it deserved multiple paragraphs about how I’m a “crybaby” enjoy your 4th though 🎆
Yeah, the crybaby firework was probably too far, but this is the single most important holiday of the year. Without Independence being declared, none of the other holidays would exist, except maybe Christmas. It's so important, we are allowed NINE days to do it. That way everyone has a chance. Day shift, mid-shift, night shift, graveyard, Panama shift whatever, you get a chance to legally disturb the peace. It is entirely worth putting up with. Have a great 4th.

I'm all for July 4th and everything that comes with it. Not a fan of cities/states clamping down on things. When I was a kid, we blew shit up from June 27 to July 5. I'm an old bastard now, but not yet crotchety enough to want to take that from everyone else.

Remember when you irritated people doing what you were allowed to do? I'm more of a "you do you" guy.

27 June-4th of July, Veterans Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, Easter, Mothers Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, President’s Day, Columbus Day, Arbor Day, Cnco De Mayo, Super Bowl Sunday, Daytona, Stanley Cup Finals, May Day, Indy 500, World Series, and Wrestlemania should be the only days fireworks are allowed. Unless I forgot some days.

I forgot D-Day, Pearl Harbor, the Day Japan signed their surrender, the end of WWI, the end of WWII, Election Day, and Inauguration Day. Maybe Teacher’s Vacation and Spring Break too. 9/11 and the Alamo.

I'd give you a :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: above, if allowed.

Been many years since I lit a firework but a couple years ago my boys brought some tannerite and we blew up some stuff. It was ok to do but I'm still picking up pieces. To each thier own, I don't take my freedom lightly by any means but fireworks are overrated.

I get that...I don't give two shits about fireworks anymore. I did enjoy them once, so do not care to be that "get of my lawn" SOB just because it's no longer my thing.

the problem is he wasn’t legally allowed to launch fireworks at that time, or launch fireworks that flew in the air. There’s laws for a reason. Anytime it’s legal I don’t care if you launch them or not, not my problem

I circled the part that should seem important to this topic…… like everything else in America people get carried away and this is no exception. Im all about America and our independence. I’ll get just as shitfaced on the 4th as the rest of you degenerate assholes. But north of Bismarck it’s definitely excessive. It’s been every night now for the last week. I can understand the 3rd, 4th, 5th. Hell let’s add the 2nd and 6th in just for those who cant coordinate a fireworks show on the 4th itself. I get that. I know people who do them a day before or after. No problem. We don’t need 2 weeks of this shit. I was a kid and yes I blew shit up around this time as well. But that was a rural community not a dense population center. Im not anout taking away anyone’s fun or freedom but when that affects me in a negative way I have an issue. It’s cost me the money for meds for my dog. While at work she used to stay outside in her run. 2 years ago she freaked out while I was at work from fireworks and chewed/clawed through a chain link fence…blood all over her face and missing teeth.. her face is still scarred up. I can make arrangements for a few days of knowing fireworks will happen but to expect people to have to alter their normal lives for two weeks is burdensome to a lot of people. Now add in the fucking duschbags out here thay randomly light one off in a random night at 1am in February or may….. fun is fun, being a duschbag is different.

Try living by someone who sells pyro technics to vendors. He tests his shit out here so can tell them what it does or has them out here. And lots of them are your sonics (Fairground issued type). No where even in the house for the pooch to hide anymore. At least its not late late evening.

I used to take note of the idiots, and on my way to work at 5 am light my own shit off in front of their house on the road. It was my fun! If I ran out, I would rack the straight pipes on my way out......over and over. I guess I grew up and don't do that anymore. Growing up is not fun.

I remember back in the late 80s thru the 90s they couldn't even sell fireworks becuase it was too dry out. We didnt have big venues like they do now, we bough bottle rockets, firecrackers, jumping jacks, roman candles, sparklers, some other odds and ends. Nothing big though, the city would out on a big show that was good enough for us. Played a lot of stupid games like lightning the bottle rockets off and point them at other kids. See how long you could hold a firecracker in your hand before it would go off. No such thing as a pod challenge for us. I even remember when i was a kid this other kid had some old m80s that his dad had saved before they were outlawed by the atf. But nothing compared to making your own pipebombs though, oh those were the days when adult supervision was only a recommendation. Its nice to live out in the country
