Anyone use one? Pros, cons of them. I don't like to keep scheels cards in the house so the latest one that showed up in the mail needs to go and I need a new life jacket.

My boss has the inflatable type and seems to like them. I don't know if he got them at scheels or if he ordered them online. I don't have any personal experience with them though.

There's better out there I'm sure but I'm not spending $200 on a life jacket. If I do, my wife will test its' durability out as soon as I turn my back on her in the boat. But, for $79, it might be worth a shot.

You will likely wear it more often, but don't forget you have it on and jump in to cool off.
I haven't worn any kind of life jacket in years, might be a good way to start.

I haven't worn one since snoopy was no the front of it. Except for one rough day on Sakakawea.

I have five inflatables. Love them. I wear one all the time when I am alone - or when running rough water with passengers.

The older models go off randomly after a few years (salt capsule gets weak?). The replacement kits are stupid expensive. Grrr...

But CHEAP INSURANCE if you ask me. If comfort and low bulk is keeping you from wearing one now then BUY ONE!!! Overboard alone while fishing is a nightmare scenario - especially if you donk your head, you're in cold water or if your boat's still moving (trolling).

I think you told me to get one a few months ago, guy. I'm still dragging my feet and debating in my best Tim S. impersonation.

Just like a watch, glasses, etc. after a few days you'll forget about it. In fact you will feel creeped out if you don't have it on (like a seatbelt).

It also form fits after a few hot sweaty events... so tough it out.

We're talking about a life jacket right?
