You should try to be offended less. If someone called me a lazy, drunk Norwegian I would just laugh and go about my day. Too many people get all worked up and are offended at everything. The political correct bs just gets old after a while.

I normally don't get offended! I could care less when others choose to display their ignorance, but when it's a friend I've known for years...it's a little harder to take!

Just to play Devils advocate, we can hunt raccoons at night, other furbearers, like coyotes, etc at night also. Should all of these be banned too?

Just to be clear you need to be set up and use a predator call to shoot coyote or fox at night. You can't just see one and go shoot it. Beaver and raccoon you can't use anything bigger than a .22.

After reading the Wisconsin deal they are talking about promising to use backstops and lights. I guess I don't understand how in the world they plan on pulling that off. Are they feeding deer in a lit area then bringing people in then turning the feeders on? Or are they just setting up a lit area and opening up a pen and letting them out into a shooting area? Could just as well raise cattle.

They probably wouldn't be my friend anymore. Some people like to say things behind your back. He just got caught I guess.

Your forgetting, if your a non-white it is now cool to to be offended by white people. Even more so if the white person is a conservative, bible reading, gun lover. Hate that piece of white trash. White people ain't cool anymore. #whitelivesdontmatter

I'm not surprised someone started a profile to come on here to let people know how offended they are.

Can someone explain to me, how if they are supposedly used to living off the land for hundreds and hundreds of years, how somehow something changed where they are now not able to harvest animals in the daylight and need these special "after dark" privileges???

I'm sure it's all based on traditional practices. After all, didn't their ancestors drive around in 4x4's with the brights on shooting deer out of the box before we came and made them hunt from horses?

Well I've got full native friends and have stayed at his parents place on the reservation while fishing a tournament. And if I were to put on here what they think of how hunting on the reservation is and what it consists of I would be fed to the wolves. I don't plan on losing sleep over this. Haha

So your saying that the comments on" native American being 80 to 90 percent" was posted in the heat of the moment. I don't know you personally but from what fellow members post on hear, I will conclude this post is a misunderstanding that should be put to rest.

They did a statistical study on the standing rock Indian reservation, and the adult male population 18 years and older was 91% full blown alcoholics.

I am just repeating the study findings, so don't call me a racist or what have you.

I am sure you could do a study about me and find out I am a douche, but that would not offend me, and I being a white American male can not be discriminated against.
I have the white privileged...hahaha

So lets say the study is accurate, (I know its high but seems inflated), are they addicted because of their race? Ask yourself, what circumstances would lead to this? Is because of their race or something else. Its real easy to sit off the rez and look at problems from afar not realizing just what these tribes lost.

Natives brain chemistry is different and makes them highly susceptible to Alcoholism.

That and the socio-economic conditions most of them live in and I wouldn't doubt those numbers are close to being accurate.

for the record I feel genuinely horrible about what happened to them as a people, their susceptibility to alcohol, etc. - it's a dang shame

on the flip side - enabling the behavior for generations by giving them $$, housing, etc. has only resulted in making the problem worse

not integrating them into the larger society has produced the second phase of destruction for the natives - even though it's supposedly done "in kindness"

a man has got to work, got to strive, got to feel he's a necessary cog in the machine or he'll rebel - or self-medicate

idle hands are....
