Fun evening for a cruise to Scotty's in Bismarck last week. Sad those days are coming to an end soon. "Winter"

Nice. I don't remember the classic car shows, but that place was such a treat as a kid back in the 70's. Then we moved away. Went to BSC after high school and did an internship at the Cenex right next door to the west. Ate lunch there every damn day and got a little fat. Quit college and joined the army. They burned those burgers and fries right off. Scotty's Home of the Best.

Growing up, we used to get broasted chicken and fries from them almost every Friday. Sis and I would fight over who got to ride down w/dad for pickup. Whomever got to go, also got to start snitching French fries in the car on the way home.

So the Ole Reb , a radio personality on KFYR used to do their commercials . I believe the rebel burger is named after him, anyhow I was out digging post holes by hand of course and had the radio on in the pickup , the Ole Reb comes on and does a live commercial about their broasted chicken and at the end says " 'Scottys Broasted chicken the best piece of chicken you will ever have unless of course you are a rooster .

There's Scotty's in Aberdeen too. I used to ride my bike as a kid about 15 blocks in summer to get a rebel burger and fries. They'd put in brown paper bag. By the time I got home the bag was a wash cloth of grease! So dang good! It has closed and reopened about 137 times. Not sure where it's at now.

Does that beauty have a Ford 9in?
Nope, factory 12 inch with 3:73's. Tremec 5 spd and centerforce clutch. With 550 hp it is allot of fun and hustles right down I94, it likes 84 mph at 2400 rpm. Ha ha ha The speed tech suspension makes for a comfortable good handling ride.
Took my mom and aunt to cruise night yesterday in Bismarck. We went to Big boy first, both hadn't been there since the early 70s. Mom used to go with my dad in his 70 383 4spd superbee!😊👊👊

Thanks allot! I had another 69 SS when I was a kid then life happened and family came first. Told my wife I'd get another one someday and I finally made that happenwith this X66 big block car. We really enjoy it, drive it all over. This was my first 350 SS 4 spd, so fun in my 20s!

She's a beautiful lady. Will you tell us her name? I don't know if you listen to anything except the timing: Here's some suitable tunes IMO:

Pard & I play these tunes in his '66 Impala when we can get together. It's set up for him to drive it in a sporting manner in the Hills. He should've pursued racing. We often shut the tunes down; enjoy the timing/exhaust noise and a few "G's". You just don't know how long I could "rock" this post...

That Camaro is art:

That is all.

How many kids can you fit in the trunk?

In my east river days a buddy had a GTO "60's something, we could get 4 of us in that trunk scooting to the drive in to save $2.00 each in Moorhead, the smell of exhaust was probably why I have memory issues to this day.

That was 8.00 or 2 cases of beer back then. We could buy Buckhorn beer for 1.95 a case in mid 70's
